Subscriptions bring up-to-date Web content to you. When you subscribe to a site,
Internet Explorer checks for new content, according to the schedule you specify.
You can then choose either to be notified that there is new content available or
have the updated content automatically download to your computer (for example, at
night or when your computer is idle) so that you can view the pages at your convenience.
Subscribing to a Web site does not require paying fees to the site.
You can schedule when you want to check for new content, and how you want to be
notified of new content. You can also set up custom schedules and notify settings for
individual sites.
Channels are another form of subscriptions. Channels are Web sites that are
automatically updated on your computer according to a schedule specified by the
content provider.
